Trailer outside tools
Because of the size of a tractor drawn aerial and the fact that it articulates, unique areas are available to attach tools to the outside of the apparatus. The trailer obviously has an enormous amount of space for equipment both in the inside compartments and in the compartments on top of the trailer. The trailer is the largest part of the apparatus and provides the biggest volume of storage space. Generally there is plenty of space to fasten tools or equipment such as a set of irons, New York hooks, Halligans, pump cans, battering rams, traffic cones, or even a folding ladder.
